Q: How can I share my connection?
A: If you are running Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or XP, follow these instructions:

Install a network card in the machine with the broadband modem.
Enable Internet Connection Sharing for the broadband modem.

Install a network card in the computers you want to share with.

Set each computer to obtain its IP configuration via dynamic allocation (DHCP).

Q: What is ICS?
A: ICS is Internet Connection Sharing. It comes as standard with Windows 98SE/2000/XP.

Q: Does ICS work with a Mac?
A: Yes. Mac users, just like PC users, will require a network card. Any system which supports TCP/IP will work with ICS.

Q: Can I share my connection with a router?
A: Yes. Ensure that the router has an inbuilt broadband (ADSL) modem. Some routers do not have the inbuilt broadband (ADSL) modem and are designed to purely route data around your network.

Q: How many computers can I connect to BBUK Broadband?
A: BBUK Broadband Home 500 is designed to be a single connection, therefore this is all that is supported. Multiple PCs can be connected to a BBUK Broadband line but support in setting this up is not provided as part of the BBUK Broadband service.
