A: If you are running
Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or XP, follow these
instructions:
Install a network card in the machine with the
broadband modem.
Enable Internet Connection Sharing for the broadband
modem.
Install a network card in the computers you want
to share with.
Set each computer to obtain its IP configuration
via dynamic allocation (DHCP). |

| A: ICS is Internet
Connection Sharing. It comes as standard with
Windows 98SE/2000/XP. |

| Q: Does ICS work with
a Mac? |

| A: Yes. Mac users,
just like PC users, will require a network card.
Any system which supports TCP/IP will work with
ICS. |

| Q: Can I share my connection
with a router? |
|
| A: Yes. Ensure that
the router has an inbuilt broadband (ADSL) modem.
Some routers do not have the inbuilt broadband
(ADSL) modem and are designed to purely route
data around your network. |

| Q: How many computers
can I connect to BBUK Broadband? |
|
| A: BBUK Broadband Home
500 is designed to be a single connection, therefore
this is all that is supported. Multiple PCs can
be connected to a BBUK Broadband line but support
in setting this up is not provided as part of
the BBUK Broadband service. |
